The Subtle Attacks

Singing...This is How I Fight my Battles...

Most fights happen for a reason. Spiritually, when we are going through a battle, it could be because the enemy doesn’t want our purpose to be fulfilled. It also could be that we need to build up our patience and strength for our next level. God will give you the grace to endure and He will also give you the weapons to fight through it.

To understand how to fight you need to notice the subtle attacks! These are sneaky attacks that you may not even notice! But here’s the kicker: Everything that the enemy tries to take is what you NEED to fight. When you notice the subtle attacks, turn them in weapons and WIN! Here are 3 of some of the subtle attacks...

The enemy will try to steal

-Your Voice: Every time I’m troubled with something, I get quiet and stay to myself. The trouble with that is, I shouldn’t be keeping myself from God. This sneaky attack is to stop us from praying. You can not stop praying. Closed mouths don’t get fed.. same concept. Communication lines must stay open between you and God. Praying and studying the Bible keeps our hearts aligned with God’s heart. When I’m going through, I get lost in my thoughts. I wouldn’t necessarily have time to get in my own thoughts if I was consistently praying. Talking and LISTENING to God. Sometimes we get that sneaky thought that we aren’t ‘worthy’ enough to talk to God. That gets me every time. God isn’t waiting for us to ‘get right’ before he listens to us. In fact, it’s impossible for us to get it together without Him. Which is why your voice is a target. The power of life and death is in your tongue.

-My Confidence/Faith: When you’re dealing with something, you start to doubt your abilities, your calling, and so much more. Confidence and Faith go hand in hand. The purpose of this attack is to make your situation seem big and to distract you from the fact that God is bigger. That causes you to lose faith. Be steadfast! It’s a constant fight but we must actively seek God and feed our faith. When you have faith, you have confidence. You believe! When you believe, you will do it. Period. My confidence is rooted in Jesus- not in myself because I am nothing without Him. So this attack tries to take your focus off of Jesus and put it on yourself. When your confidence is rooted in yourself, it will not stand consistently. That’s why, a lot of times, we are so moody and unstable. We are not perfect but we serve a perfect God. So set your confidence and faith in Him.

-Your Hustle: When we seem to be on the struggle bus, the pity party we set up for ourselves causes us to be unproductive. It makes us lazy... We start to question things... This attack distracts us from our goals. We must stay the course to fight this attack. We are losing our drive because the enemy knows this extra push will get us over the hump. It becomes hard to get up in the morning... it’s hard to get motivated. What will help with this, is DISCIPLINE! When your motivation fails, your discipline will keep you going. As I always say, remember why you do what you do and revisit that often. When you are fulfilling your potential and persistently pursuing your purpose, that will not only free you, but it will also unlock someone else’s deliverance. So don’t let an attack paralyze your hustle. God has given you grace to push through, so do it.

Don’t forget to notice these subtle attacks. Remember that Everything that is attacked is what you NEED to not only fight, but fight and WIN! Keep Praying, Keep your Faith up and Confidence in Him, and Keep Pressing!
